With an invitation for Architecture and Engineering firms to submit a Statement of Qualifications, the D.R. Moon Library building project is officially resuming! This month the Library Board approved the Building Program Statement prepared by IFLS director John Thompson and library director Elizabeth Miniatt, and widely posted an RFQ for interested firms to review regarding the building project.. The Building Program Statement is an extensive guide, both for the library and any firm involved with this project, that provides all the necessary details about the current situation, space, and history, as well as library needs and plans for the future.
The next step in these preliminary stages of the project is to interview Architecture/Engineering firms to chose a partner in carrying out the planned expansion and restoration project. In the meantime, community members are encouraged to get involved with the library and the building project. Please consider joining the Capital Campaign committee or the Friends of the Library, and follow us on Facebook to stay up to date on library news and building project updates. Thank you for your interest and support!
